Specialists from the Department of Orthopaedics and Spine Surgery at the Medical University of Gdańsk, based at the Nicolaus Copernicus Hospital in Gdańsk, have performed their first surgical procedure using the Mazor X Stealth robotic guidance system. As a result, the patient commenced rehabilitation just 24 hours after surgery. The Mazor robotic system can be used in the treatment of bone tumours and for spinal stabilisation with pedicle screws, which means it is applicable to the majority of spine surgery procedures.
