In cooperation with the Student Self-Government, the Medical University of Gdańsk has established the role of the Students’ Trustees within its organisational structure. Their responsibilities include promoting ethical principles and practices among students, supporting initiatives aimed at improving communication between students and the University, and fostering awareness of the values, rights and freedoms upheld within the academic community.

Assistant Professor at the Department of Neonatology, MUG, specialist in neonatology. During her studies, she spent a year at the University of Perugia as part of the Erasmus student exchange programme. She has previously supervised a Student Scientific Society and has repeatedly served as an instructor for the Neonatal Life Support (NLS) course of the European Resuscitation Council. She is consistently ranked among the highest-rated academic teachers by students. In her private time, she is passionate about skiing and winter swimming in the Baltic Sea.

Assistant Professor at the Centre for Competence Development, Integrated Care and eHealth, MUG. She holds a bachelor's degree in radiography and a master's degree in public health, as well as a master's degree in economics from the University of Gdańsk. For the past three years, she has served as a year tutor for third-year students in the Public Health – Healthcare Management programme. She is a co-founder of the Student Scientific Society “Economics and Management in Healthcare.” She collaborates with the Polish Pharmacoeconomic Society and participates in the work of its eHealth working group. Her main research interests include health economics, value-based healthcare (VBHC), pharmacoeconomics and quality-of-life assessment.
Anna Paprocka-Lipińska, Ph.D., D.Sc.

Head of the Department of Medical Ethics, MUG, specialist in anaesthesiology and intensive care, as well as emergency medicine. Her interest in the history of medicine led to her obtaining the degree of habilitated doctor in the humanities in 2019, awarded by the Ludwik and Aleksander Birkenmajer Institute for the History of Science of the Polish Academy of Sciences. She currently combines teaching and research activities with clinical practice. Her main academic interests include the history of medicine, particularly the history of ethics and professional deontology, as well as contemporary challenges in medical ethics.

Assistant Professor in the Department of Biopharmaceutics and Pharmacokinetics, Faculty of Pharmacy, MUG; laboratory diagnostician. She completed her doctoral dissertation under the supervision of Prof. Michał Markuszewski. As part of her doctoral studies, she undertook a one-year research placement at the Centre of Metabolomics and Bioanalysis (CEMBIO) at CEU San Pablo University in Madrid, under the supervision of Prof. Coral Barbas. For the past three years, she has served as Programme Director of the Sustainable Drug Discovery (S-DISCO) programme, funded by the European Commission under the Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree (EMJMD) scheme. Her teaching activities are carried out within the Department of Biopharmaceutics and Pharmacodynamics, and her research interests include metabolomics, bioanalysis and pharmaceutical analysis.
Agata Błaczkowska, Ph.D. Eng.

Senior Assistant at the Department of Radiological Informatics and Statistics, MUG. She completed both her engineering and master’s degrees at Gdańsk University of Technology in biomedical engineering, specialising in medical physics. She obtained her PhD in bioinformatics at the Medical University of Gdańsk. Her professional work focuses on bioinformatics, particularly the analysis and processing of biological data, as well as medical statistics supporting scientific and clinical research. She also specialises in software development and testing, ensuring validation and quality of code and documentation.

Head of the Department of Sociology of Medicine and Medical Communication, MUG. Supervisor of the Student Scientific Society of Medical Communication. Trainer and consultant in patient communication, assessment and development centres (AC/DC), and competency training. He collaborates with patient organisations and conducts sessions within the Ethical Areopagus initiative in Puck. He is a member of the Polish Society for Medical Communication, the Polish Psycho-Oncological Society, and the Working Group for Counteracting Discrimination against People Living with Obesity at the Office of the Patient Rights Ombudsman.
