The Department of Promotion and Communicationis responsible, among other tasks, for organising university-wide ceremonies and co-organising events that integrate the MUG community. We coordinate advertising, promotional and integration initiatives, develop and implement the University's image strategy, and administer the MUG website and social media channels.

Promotion of science
Science is people. Without people, there would be no science, and without science, there would be no people. There would be no University as we know it. We support our researchers, research activity and science in the broadest sense not only within the University, but above all beyond it.
Organisation of university-wide ceremonies
We organise university-wide ceremonies, such as the inauguration of the academic year, the conferment of the title of Honorary Professor, the conferment of the degree of Doctor Honoris Causa, and Lecture Day. We also co-organise events that integrate the MUG community.
Co-organisation of conferences and events
We provide image and communication support in the organisation of conferences and scientific events co-organised by the University.

University rankings
Due to its increasingly strong positions in various university rankings, the Medical University of Gdańsk is becoming ever more recognisable in Poland and internationally. We contribute to this process by collecting and compiling data about the University.
For society
In 2019, the Medical University of Gdańsk signed the Declaration of University Social Responsibility. As a socially responsible university, we care for the environment (for example through the MUG without plastic campaign), the health of the residents of Pomerania (the Health Picnic), and participation in various charitable initiatives, such as Kaszka dla Malgaszka and bottle-cap collections for people in need.
Gender Equality Plan
The Equality Action Plan for 2021-2023/2024 is a public document addressed to all interested staff members. It sets out objectives and areas of activity, provides for data collection and monitoring, and commits the University to conducting training activities aligned with its strategy to promote equality among the staff of the Medical University of Gdańsk.
Culture of Respect
The medical profile of the University gives it a particular role in society, arising from its concern for the protection of human life, health and dignity, regardless of age, race and ethnic origin, nationality, religion, social status, sexual orientation, health condition, social position or other factors. A major strength of the Medical University of Gdańsk is its high level of internationalisation and the resulting multiculturalism, which enrich the University and constitute one of the main drivers of development for the entire academic community.
