The meeting was officially inaugurated by the Rector of the UFV, Daniel Sada, Ph.D. together with Vice-Rector Juan Pérez-Miranda, and Chelo Pérez, Coordinator of Work Package 2, who welcomed the representatives of partner universities and emphasised the importance of academic cooperation in building a modern European higher education landscape.

ACEploration missions are intensive working meetings aimed at developing new educational initiatives and strengthening cooperation between partner universities. During the several-day mission, participants:

– design joint educational formats available to students from all universities within the alliance,

– develop institutional and academic cooperation between partners,

– co-create innovative teaching formats and study programmes,

– expand mobility opportunities for students and academic staff,

– connect academic education with real societal challenges and collaboration with external partners,

– develop educational models responding to the challenges of the digital and green transitions.

The central theme of the seventh ACEploration mission is Purpose-Driven Leadership from a Humanistic, Professional, and Interdisciplinary Perspective. This concept explores leadership grounded in a clearly defined purpose, considered from humanistic, professional and interdisciplinary perspectives.

During workshops and discussions, participants analyse the role of leadership as a transformative force, rooted in a sense of personal mission, ethical responsibility, professional excellence, and a tangible impact on the surrounding social environment, as well as in dialogue and collaboration across disciplines.

This approach reflects the educational model of UFV, in which the individual is placed at the centre of the educational process and leadership is understood as service to society and commitment to the common good.
