On 3th–5th December, the pan-European INFORM EU Congress dedicated to the exchange of best practices among EU regions was held at the European Solidarity Centre in Gdańsk. The event for 350 representatives of European regions was organised in cooperation with the European Commission, the Ministry of Development Funds and Regional Policy and the Pomorskie Voivodeship.
As part of the congress, participants took part in a study visit to the Medical University of Gdańsk, during which the results of the following projects were presented: EUCANIMAGE – A European Cancer Image Platform Linked to Biological and Health Data for Next-Generation Artificial Intelligence and Precision Medicine in Oncology, and CINDERELLA – Clinical Validation of an AI-based Approach to Improve the Shared Decision-Making Process and Outcomes in Breast Cancer Patients Proposed for Locoregional Treatment (Polish title: “Porównanie zgodności oczekiwań z końcowymi efektami estetycznymi miejscowego leczenia raka piersi pomiędzy tradycyjnym podejściem chirurgicznym a użyciem internetowej platformy edukacyjnej. During the visit, guests had the opportunity to view the prototype of the Pink device, designed to support the collection of patient information and imaging data. The prototype for the CINDERELLA project was supplied by the Czech company PhotoRoboT.
