Two events, one shared goal: cooperation and development within the ACE²-EU Alliance

ACEploration

Medical University of Gdańsk hosted two key international events organised within the framework of the ACE²-EU Alliance: ACEploration Brain, Body & Learning – Shaping Future-Ready Education in Health Sciences and Knowledge Creation Team Workshop #2. Both meetings attracted distinguished experts, researchers, educators, and representatives of academic administration from partner universities, creating a unique platform for the exchange of knowledge and experience. The events were held from 13th to 15th January.

ACEploration

The ACEploration event focused on the challenges facing education in the health sciences in the context of dynamic social, technological, and scientific change. Participants discussed the importance of students’ physical and mental well-being, the need for interdisciplinary approaches to education, and the competencies that will be critical for future generations of graduates. The event provided a space for inspiring discussions, presentations of innovative teaching practices, and the identification of new areas for collaboration among universities within the Alliance.

Running in parallel, Knowledge Creation Team Workshop #2 was devoted to the practical aspects of preparing projects funded by the European Union, including those under the Horizon Europe programme. The workshops enabled participants to integrate research perspectives with administrative expertise, offering opportunities for joint work on project concepts, analysis of potential partnerships, and the establishment of foundations for future international consortia.

ACEploration

Both events clearly demonstrated the critical role of international cooperation in the development of education, scientific research, and innovation in the health sector. The role of the Medical University of Gdańsk as an active partner within the ACE²-EU Alliance was emphasised not only in organisational terms but also substantively – through initiating dialogue, sharing experience, and supporting the creation of new research and educational projects.

ACEploration

Three days of intensive meetings, workshops, and discussions confirmed that the ACE²-EU Alliance is not merely a partnership network, but a dynamic space in which innovative ideas emerge, durable relationships are formed, and the future of health sciences education is shaped.
