Organisation of the accademic year

At the Medical University of Gdańsk the academic year 2025/2026 starts from 1 October 2025 and lasts to 30 September 2026.

In the studies of the Faculty of Medicine:
 

Note:

On the day of the inauguration of the academic year 2025/2026, Rector's hours are planned.
**Academic classes in the summer semester for Medical studies [Polish and English Division] may last till 30 June 2026.
Orientation Week for 1st year students for English-language fields of study and Erasmus+ exchange students lasts from 22 September 2025 to 26 September 2025.
Orientation and organisation course for S-DISCO and Erasmus+ exchange students lasts from 23 February 2026 to 27 February 2026.
Terms of the examination session do not pertain students who do their courses in the block system, and are obliged to take their examinations continously (examinations are held immediately upon the completion of the relevant course block). (zmiana treści ppktu) The dates of the examination session do not apply to students studying in the block system, who are subject to a continuous examination session (examinations take place immediately after classes in a given subject).
On: 10.11.2025, 23.12.2025 from 12:00 noon, 05.06.2026 Dean's Days/Hours are planned for students of the Faculty of Medicine.
During the academic year vocational practice in accordance with the study programme is obligatory.
During the period free from classes, a summer internship in accordance with the 
study programme is obligatory.

The dates of the examination session do not apply to students of the field of Pharmaceutical and Cosmetics Industry; Sustainable Drug Discovery; 6th year of the field of Pharmacy; and doctoral students.
On: 10.11.2025, 23.12.2025 from 12:00 noon, 05.06.2026 for students of the Faculty of Pharmacy and the Faculty of Health Sciences, Dean's Days/Hours are planned.

*5th year of Health Psychology is obliged to follow the standard organisation of the academic year.
